Maintenance notices

When Essential has scheduled downtime, a bar fixed to the bottom of the signed-in web app shows the maintenance date and time window in your business's timezone. Notices may appear several days or weeks in advance.

Read the window, plan your work around it, and select Dismiss to collapse the notice into a small tab showing Maintenance in N days, counted by calendar date in your business timezone. On the start date it says Maintenance today; once the window starts it says Maintenance in progress. Select the tab to reopen the dates and details whenever you need them. You can continue using the app while the notice is open.

Your acknowledgment is remembered for your account in that browser. The same notice stays collapsed when you navigate or reload, even after you temporarily reopen it. A different user in the same browser still sees it, and a new maintenance notice appears separately. Using another browser or device, or clearing browser data, can show the notice again.

The notice and its tab disappear after the announced window ends. These banners appear only in the signed-in web app.
