Review imported billing data
Guided onboarding can import customer and property billing details together with operational records.
Your Essential team may provide a direct link to the summary or final import preview for a prepared onboarding. Opening that link does not import anything. Review the proposed creates and merges, then select the final import button when you are ready. If processing or a required decision is still outstanding, the link opens that step first.
Before completing onboarding, review the invoice total on the Review and Results steps. Counts beside that total explain which invoice or line-item source records could not be imported safely. The import includes source invoices identified as paid or pending and records them as paid historical invoices. Cancelled and closed invoices are left out. Payments are not imported.
Invoice numbers are converted to their numeric value and duplicates are left out. Each invoice is linked to the serviced property when the source provides a matching property ID or location. A customer's sole property is used only when the invoice has no property reference. If one invoice cannot be linked confidently, onboarding keeps the rest of the customer data and leaves that invoice out for later review.
Recorded line taxes and invoice discounts are retained in the invoice total. Missing tax or discount data is not filled from current business settings; unusable optional values are left out while the invoice continues.
If an invoice has no usable detail lines but has a final total, it is imported with one line named Total, quantity 1, priced at that total. No additional taxes or discounts are applied to that line.
Tax exemption is applied at the customer level unless the source explicitly provides a property-level override. Evidence-backed rate-sheet pricing can also be assigned to the matching customer or property; unsupported or inactive rate sheets are left unchanged.
