NetSuite account mapping and sync behavior

NetSuite account mapping controls where Essential posts invoice revenue, tax, payments, refunds, processing fees, and adjustments.

Set up mappings before automatic sync is turned on. Review the default revenue, tax, payment, refund, and adjustment accounts with your accounting team.

If your NetSuite environment uses subsidiaries, departments, classes, or locations, choose the defaults Essential should use. Your accounting team can adjust mappings later if reporting needs change.

Essential syncs customer billing activity such as invoices, payments, refunds, fees, and related journal activity. Sync status is shown in Essential so you can see what has synced and what needs attention.

If a sync fails, review the error, update the missing mapping or NetSuite configuration, then retry the sync.

Where to find it: Settings > Invoicing > Accounting > NetSuite account mapping, once NetSuite is enabled for your business
