# Reconcile Stripe payouts

> **Where to find it:** **Reports → Financial → Payouts**.

Open a Stripe payout to see the invoices, payments, fees, refunds, and adjustments behind a deposit. Connect Stripe in Finance settings first. Access requires Dashboard & Reports and invoice viewing permissions, or someone can share this report with you.

1. Choose an arrival-date range. The report starts with the last 30 days.
2. Filter by payout status or search for an amount, payout ID, or bank account.
3. Open a payout. Its detail shows the destination, status, gross activity, fees, and net activity.
4. Search the breakdown by invoice number, customer, property, or Stripe transaction. Click an invoice number to open the invoice.
5. Use **Export CSV** to download the current list. The main report exports payouts; the detail exports that payout's transactions.

Net activity should match the payout amount. A difference is shown explicitly. Standalone Stripe charges such as Radar fees are included even when they have no invoice. A payment that covers multiple invoices appears once, with all linked invoice numbers, so its money is counted once.

**Paid** means Stripe marked the payout paid; pending, in-transit, canceled, and failed payouts remain distinguishable. Manual and instant payouts have no transaction breakdown from Stripe. A new automatic payout may show that Stripe is still preparing its breakdown; reopen it later.

A Stripe payment without a matching Essential invoice is labeled **Not linked in Essential**. It still contributes to the payout total. Amounts retain the payout's currency.

Use [Review mode](/reporting-and-integrations/reporting/export-filter-and-drill-into-a-report.md) to keep track of payouts or transaction rows you have checked. Hiding a row does not change Stripe, an invoice, or the reconciliation totals.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://learn.withessential.com/reporting-and-integrations/reporting/reconcile-stripe-payouts.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
