# Void an invoice (and reopening a voided one)

Voiding cancels an invoice you no longer want to bill. You'll find Void in the "..." menu of the action bar. It's only available before any money has been collected - specifically on a Draft, Unpaid, or Overdue invoice with no payment recorded against it.

Once even a partial payment has landed, Void disappears, because there's no refund path on void; to clear out a partially paid invoice you'd use Mark as Uncollectible instead. When you void, you'll confirm in a dialog that notes the invoice will no longer be visible to the customer or editable, and that you can re-open it later if needed.

A voided invoice isn't a dead end: it shows a "Revert to Draft" button that puts it back into Draft so you can edit and re-send it. Reverting a sent-then-voided invoice means it's no longer visible to the customer until you send it again.

Void itself is reversible this way - unlike Mark as Uncollectible, which cannot be undone.

> **Where to find it:** Open the invoice, then use the "..." menu in the top-right action bar and choose "Void". To reopen a voided invoice, use the "Revert to Draft" button shown on a voided invoice.
