# Why can't I edit an invoice?

Invoices can be edited only while they're in Draft. Once an invoice has been sent (Unpaid or Overdue) or Paid, its contents are locked. To change a sent invoice, void it from the ... menu, then use Revert to Draft to reopen it for editing before sending it again. The customer and property can never be changed, so if either is wrong, void the invoice and create a new one.
